The company is formerly known as Hangzhou Second Cement Products Factory, which was founded in 1972 by the 7350 army that specialized in the production of concrete products and cement pipes after enrolling to Hangzhou Urban and Rural Construction Committee. In 1996, the enterprise has developed into the leading enterprise of national concrete drainage pipeline products. In 2000, the company changed into private joint-stock enterprises and moved the cement industry to Changsha, Hunan. The company has actively upgraded to health and energy conservation and environmental protection industries since the establishment of Tianlong Group in 2004.

At present, Tianlong Group sets up 7 subsidiaries, 2 institutes and have a national engineering center. The company has 90 staff, 50% of whom are bachelor or above degree. Tianlong has participated in major national projects and seven 863 projects and owns 17 authorized invention patents. The high-tech products developed by Tianlong, including linseed instant powder series, Hezhiyuan series, anti-tumor drug (CT102、Cantide), antiviral drug (Flutide), will come to the markert and hospital soon. The company has been cared and guided by the leaders of the state, provincial, municipal and district governments at all levels and the General Logistics Department of health, Military Medical Science Academy of the PLA since the transition.

Enterprises has cooperated with Military Medical Science Academy of the PLA, Zhejiang University, Nankai University, Columbia University and other well-known domestic and foreign famous universities. Tianlong sets up enterprise strategic development research center composed by 3 academicians from technical committee and 11 experts from all fields to promote R&D and industrialization of research projects of the company.
